These terms apply when a consumer purchases membership of the Next Thing First Club online. Please save or print a copy.

What you are purchasing

The Next Thing First Club is an online adult membership. While membership is active, it includes access to five scheduled weekday sessions, two scheduled social calls each week, the private Member Room and Quiet Room, a monthly workshop or guided challenge, available Next Thing Mini Resets, the Reset Programme and the member workbook library.

The published launch schedule uses UK time: Monday’s Weekly Reset and Together Hour runs from 10–11am; Together Hours run Tuesday to Friday from 10–11am; and Come-As-You-Are calls run Tuesday and Thursday from 8–9pm. A monthly workshop or guided challenge replaces one evening call that week.

Live schedules, hosts and individual resources may reasonably change. Where a session cannot run, we may reschedule, replace or cancel it. Membership does not guarantee attendance by a particular number of other members.

Price and renewal

The standard membership price is £19.99 per month. The founding offer gives the first 50 eligible members an introductory price of £9.99 for each of their first three monthly payments, after which the subscription automatically renews at £19.99 per month.

Payment is collected in advance through Stripe on a recurring monthly basis until cancelled. There is no joining fee or minimum membership term. A contract is formed when Stripe confirms the first payment.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal or by emailing hello@nextthingfirst.co.uk. Unless a legal cancellation right or refund applies, cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for and access continues until that date. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund an amount already paid.

If a payment fails, access may be paused while Stripe retries the payment or asks you to update your payment method.

Your statutory cancellation rights

You normally have the right to cancel this distance contract within 14 days after it is made without giving a reason. To cancel, email hello@nextthingfirst.co.uk with a clear statement or use the model cancellation form below.

By choosing to access the Club during that 14-day period, you ask us to begin providing the membership service immediately. If you cancel after the service has begun, we may deduct a reasonable proportion for service already supplied where the law allows. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights where a service or digital item is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.

Scope and boundaries

The Club provides practical organisation, body doubling, accountability and peer community. It is not therapy, counselling, coaching, crisis support, medical care, legal or financial advice, or a substitute for a regulated professional service. No diagnosis, treatment or particular personal, financial, educational or health outcome is promised.

The community is monitored at scheduled times, not continuously. Do not use the Club for emergencies or situations involving an immediate risk of harm. Members remain responsible for their own decisions, actions, safety and use of resources.

Live calls

Members receive the current schedule and joining links after payment. Cameras are optional. Together Hours are primarily quiet working sessions; social calls are informal conversations. Calls are not recorded by Next Thing First. Members must not record, photograph, livestream or distribute any part of a call without the express agreement of everyone affected.

You are responsible for joining from a suitable device and connection, checking the time shown for each event and keeping meeting links private.

WhatsApp Community and privacy

Participation in the WhatsApp Community is optional. WhatsApp group participants may be able to see other members’ telephone numbers, profile names, photographs and messages. Only join if you are comfortable with this. Do not add, contact or message another member privately without a reasonable invitation or consent.

Members must not screenshot, copy, forward or share another person’s messages or personal information outside the Club. We ask everyone to respect privacy, but we cannot guarantee that another member will do so. Share only what you are comfortable placing in a group environment.

Community conduct

You must be aged 18 or over to join. Be respectful. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, sexual content directed at members, spam, promotion without permission, deliberate misinformation, diagnosing other members and pressuring someone to disclose personal information are not allowed.

We may moderate content, restrict participation or remove a member where reasonably necessary to protect the community or the service. Serious misconduct may lead to immediate removal. Any refund will be considered in line with consumer law and the circumstances.

Resources and personal use

Workbooks, Mini Resets and programme materials are for the member’s own personal use. You may download and print allowed resources for yourself while access is available. You must not share, resell, upload, reproduce, teach from or distribute them. Separate workbook purchases remain governed by the terms shown at the point of purchase.

Membership access to the resource library ends when the paid membership period ends. Copies lawfully downloaded for personal use do not need to be deleted, but the personal-use restrictions continue.

Problems and complaints

If something is wrong, email hello@nextthingfirst.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge concerns within two working days and resolve them fairly. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits your statutory consumer rights.

Changes to the Club

We may make reasonable changes to schedules, community spaces and included materials as the Club develops. We will give reasonable notice of a material reduction in the core membership or a price change. A new price will not be charged without the notice required by law, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you also retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
